Job DescriptionLGT CP's Liquid Markets unit is managing portfolio solutions with a strong focus on alternative investments. LGT CP is expanding their global manager selection team with an additional Associate Director based in New York. The team is in charge of liquid investments via external managers (hedge funds and long only), whereby most of these allocations are implemented as segregated managed accounts by taking advantage of LGT CP's proprietary platform.LocationNew York, NYReporting RelationshipsRaimund Seeholzer, Partner and Co-Head of the External Managers PlatformRoger Hilty, Partner and Co-Head of the External Managers PlatformRole and ResponsibilitiesIntegral member of the global manager selection team with the ability to lead the sourcing, screening, analysis, and execution of hedge fund and long only investments mainly in the US, and with the possibility to expand into other liquid alternative strategiesPerform in-depth investment due diligence, conduct analysis and modeling and lead investment proposals for the investment committeeInteract with portfolio management teams on multi-alternatives and hedge fund portfolios as well as client mandates on investment themes and other relevant investment contentSupport and facilitate interaction with internal and external clients on periodic investment reviews and ad-hoc requestsPrepare market analysis / research relating to hedge funds / liquid alternativesSupport fund raising process by attending client meetings with focus on the US marketRequirementsExperience, Skills, and Personal Qualities 4+ years of experience in manager selection, with a focus on fundamentally driven investment strategies (Equity, Credit, Event-Driven and Relative Value)Strong analytical skills and attention to detailCollaborative team player with sound business judgment and interpersonal skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills; able to convey complex ideas clearly and effectivelyProficiency in Microsoft ExcelWillingness to travel frequentlyLegally authorized to work in the United StatesEducation and Credentials University degree in finance/economics preferredProgress toward CFA designation is strongly preferredContact InformationIf you are interested in becoming an integral part of a successful alternative investment management team in an international, multicultural working environment we will be pleased to get to know you soon.For further information please contact us.Kristina DimeskaHuman ResourcesLGT Capital Partners (USA) Inc.Contact:+1 212-336-0651
