Physical Therapy AssistantSet your own schedule with Freedom Therapy, we are quickly growing and looking to expand our Home Health Care team on the West side of Cleveland and surrounding areas. We are looking for consistent PRN committed Physical Therapy Assistant to act as the patient's partner throughout the trip of restoring motion and ensuring that the client will function at their personal best. You will maximize the quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment or intervention, and rehabilitation.PTA ResponsibilitiesImplement selected components of care and interventions in a technically competent mannerInstruct and counsel patients effectively in exercisesIdentify patient's needs and exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy to individual differencesRecommend options, courses of action or modifications in selected treatments ensuring patient's progress, safety and comfortApply the latest research related to restoring function, reducing symptoms frequency, and preventing injuryComplete documentation to support the delivery of physical therapy servicesPerform selected data collection and obtain accurate informationMeasure performance and report on patient's medical recordParticipate in patient status judgmentsAdhere to ethical and legal standardsEnsure continued competence and updated field knowledgePTA SkillsExcellent knowledge of physiology best practices and standardsHands on experience with therapeutic exercises, functional training and physical modalitiesAbility to communicate and instruct effectivelyAddress client's aspects of performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being and life qualitySelect and adapt the appropriate per case physical therapy treatment model, method and approach to direct the process of interventionsApply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL)Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable componentsAssess client's home and other environments and advice on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilitiesRecommend adaptive equipment and train in its useGuide and educate family members and caregiversObserve, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goalsCollect data and document processes followedReport to and collaborate with supervising PT and other disciplines as necessary.Job Type: PRNSalary: starting at $40.00 per visitBenefits:401(k)Flexible scheduleHealth/Dental/Vision insurance reimbursementPaid time offReferral programMileage reimbursementMedical specialties:GeriatricsHome HealthPhysical & Rehabilitation MedicineSchedule:Day shiftMonday to FridayWeekend availability but not requiredSupplemental pay types:Bonus payLicense/Certification:CPR CertificationLicensed Physical Therapy Assistant (Required)Work Location: On the road
