Lead Toolmaker
Company Overview
Mod Tech Industries (MTI) is a production machining company specializing in grey and ductile iron castings, including post heat-treated Austempered Ductile Iron (ADI) up to Grade 4, as well as steel forgings and a wide range of alloy bar stock.
While most people know Wisconsin as the “Dairy State,” fewer realize that Northeast Wisconsin is home to several of the world’s largest and most respected foundries producing these materials. Located in Shawano, Wisconsin, MTI is positioned in the heart of “foundry country.”
For over 40 years, MTI has built strong, lasting relationships with many of these foundries. Contact us today to learn how you can leverage these connections—along with MTI’s machining expertise and technical support—to your advantage.
With our modern 150,000 sq. ft. facility on 9 acres, we also have ample room for future growth.
Lead Toolmaker – Hybrid Role
This is a hybrid, highly skilled position with multiple responsibilities. The primary focus is the design and build of CNC horizontal hydraulically clamped workholding and specially designed cutting tools. Work will also include CAD design, conversational CNC programming, and operation of manual equipment within the toolroom.
This is a key role within the company requiring a strong understanding of 3-2-1 locating principles and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
The position is varied in nature and supports and coordinates closely with production staff to ensure efficient manufacturing and tooling solutions.
A strong foundation of experience is required, with additional training available for continued growth and refinement. This is an excellent opportunity in a modern facility with a strong team environment and up-to-date equipment.
