VP, Head of Clinical Development

We are partnering with a clinical-stage biotech to identify a VP, Head of Clinical Development to lead global strategy across a growing pipeline in immunology and inflammation (I&I).Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, this individual will serve as both a strategic leader and hands-on clinical lead—shaping development plans from early clinical stages through registration while building and mentoring a high-performing Clinical Development team.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and execute integrated clinical development strategies across programs through late-stage development and approvalServe as Clinical Lead for one or more programs, overseeing study design, endpoints, safety, and data interpretationDrive regulatory strategy and lead global health authority interactionsPartner cross-functionally across Clinical Ops, Regulatory, Nonclinical, and Commercial to advance programs efficientlyEngage external stakeholders including KOLs, investigators, and advisorsBuild and develop a team of Medical Directors in a lean, fast-paced environmentContribute to portfolio strategy, investor communications, and broader corporate initiativesIdeal BackgroundMD (or equivalent) required~12+ years of industry clinical development experience, with leadership across Phase 2 through registrationExperience in nephrology, hematology, rheumatology, immunology, inflammation, or related therapeutic areas preferredDemonstrated leadership of mid- to late-stage clinical programs (Phase 2 through registration).Proven track record designing and executing registration-enabling trials and leading regulatory interactionsStrong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skillsThis is a high-impact opportunity to shape clinical strategy and drive programs forward in a collaborative, science-driven organization.
