Job title Clinical PharmacistLocation Remote - NCJob type 6 months contract with possible extensionRole OverviewWe are seeking experienced Clinical Pharmacists to support a rapidly growing healthcare initiative focused on improving medication adherence, patient outcomes, and comprehensive pharmacy care management. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, self-directed team dedicated to delivering high-quality clinical support to members through medication therapy management and utilization review.Key ResponsibilitiesReview prior authorization requests and determine coverage eligibility based on member benefits and clinical guidelines Conduct comprehensive medication reviews (CMR) and medication therapy management (MTM) activities Contact members regarding medication adherence gaps and provide clinical guidance Collaborate with case managers and healthcare teams to improve member outcomes Analyze utilization review data and prepare compliance reporting summaries Ensure quality control standards are maintained across pharmacy review practices Support and guide pharmacy technicians on clinical and operational matters Research drug information and maintain updated knowledge of disease states and formulary criteria Utilize pharmacy coding systems including NDC, GCN, GPI, and NCPDP claims adjudication systems QualificationsRequired:Active Pharmacist License in current practicing state Bachelor s Degree in Pharmacy or advanced degree 3+ years of pharmacist experience Strong computer proficiency and prior work-from-home experience Experience handling high-volume phone interactions Excellent communication and member engagement skills PreferredPharmD Managed care, health plan, Medicare, or Medicaid experience MTM/CMR experience Experience in Retail Pharmacy, HMO, or DSNP environments Familiarity with Medicare STARs and quality metrics
