Field Services Technician - Morgantown, WV

Job Description OverviewThe primary role of the Field Services Technician is to access and patrol sections of pipelines to detect evidence of leaks, odors, and dead vegetation and report any problems found. This position will also assist with installations and field troubleshooting/manufacturing in a lab environment. The Field Services Technician reports to the Product Manager and works primarily out of the Morgantown location.ResponsibilitiesPatrol pipelines to locate and report pipeline leaks, breaks, washouts, oil stains, odors, dead vegetation, etc.Visual inspection and monitoring of pipelines and surrounding areaIdentifying changes to the pipeline, excavation, and surrounding right of wayDetailed documentation of changes via mobile applicationProvide physical labor and hiking on rough terrain up to 2 milesAssisting with installation/uninstallation of monitoring systemsCarrying equipment and materials to installation siteHand driving strut into groundAssembly/cleaning of field equipmentDetail focused and capability of meeting strict deadlinesPlanning safety into all aspects of the jobAbility to work independently and with a teamQualificationsValid Driver's License is requiredBasic computer knowledge; Proficient with MS Office productivity softwareAble to work independently and in team environmentsProactive, resourceful and highly motivated with good communication skills and ability towork in high output environmentAbility to balance multiple projects and coordinate with other departmentsProvide physical labor includingHiking on rough terrain up to 2 milesCarrying equipment and materials to installation siteHand driving installation fixtures into the groundPlanning safety into all aspects of the jobMust be dependable, trustworthy, and possess a positive and productive attitudeMust be customer-focusedAbility to work in all weather conditionsMust be in good physical conditionWilling to participate in the company's required background and drug screening processWillingness to undergo safety training to obtain OQ trainingWorking ConditionsWalk and climb in all kinds of terrain / use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls / reach with hands and arms / crawl / kneelWork outdoors in all types of weather.The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.Required to wear safety equipment: as per OSHA/MSHA requirements including but not limited steel toed and/or metatarsal shoes, hard hat, lanyard, fire retardant, protective eye wear, etc.Must be safety and customer-focused, without exception.Must be in good physical condition.Be safety and customer-focused, without exceptionAdditional Eligibility QualificationsThis position requires the completion of a thorough background and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
