Electrician
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both commercial and residential electrical work, with a strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC). This role involves working on construction sites, utilizing various power and hand tools to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems. The Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations comply with safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and residential settings.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
Utilize power tools such as drills, saws, and other equipment to complete installations.
Employ hand tools effectively, including ammeters, ohmmeters, and voltmeters for testing electrical systems.
Conduct low voltage wiring for lighting and communication systems as needed.
Perform frame carpentry tasks related to electrical installations when necessary.
Ensure compliance with NEC standards during all electrical work performed.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project completion on schedule.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Electrician in a construction site environment is preferred.
Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in electrical work.
Knowledge of low voltage systems and their applications.
Ability to read blueprints and technical documents accurately.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members and clients.
Certification or relevant licensure as an Electrician is a plus.
