Troubleshoot manufacturing and quality issues on the shop floor, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions. Apply manufacturing and industrial engineering principles to improve methods, line layouts, ergonomics, material flow, and labor balance. Partner with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to reduce defects, variation, and waste while improving process stability. Support continuous improvement initiatives, including kaizen events and problem‑solving activities focused on quality, safety, and cost. Assist with the selection, installation, startup, and validation of tools, fixtures, and equipment, ensuring processes are capable and repeatable. Support new product introductions by reviewing designs for manufacturability, establishing assembly processes, and training operators on standard work. Who You AreA hands-on, collaborative problem solver who enjoys working directly with production and quality teams on the shop floor. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, usable documentation and standard work. Comfortable analyzing issues, identifying root causes, and driving practical, sustainable solutions. An effective communicator who can train, coach, and influence others across multiple levels of the organization. Self-motivated and adaptable, able to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What You Will NeedA 2‑year technical degree with at least 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience 7+ years of relevant manufacturing experience in lieu of a degree Skills, Experience & AbilitiesExperience supporting manufacturing processes, including tooling, fixtures, materials, and process documentation Ability to apply continuous improvement and quality principles to reduce defects, variation, and waste Working knowledge of mechanical systems and the ability to troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions Experience improving workstation layouts, ergonomics, material flow, and labor balance Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools for documentation, analysis, and presentations Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with operators, engineers, quality teams, and leadership Who We AreHyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc., designs, engineers, manufactures, sells and services a comprehensive line of lift trucks, aftermarket parts and technology and energy solutions that are transforming the way the world moves materials from Port to Home.
