Commercial Driver & Oversized Load Specialist

Job Description At Sport Sheds we build and deliver some of the most unique and high-end outdoor sport and golf simulator structures in the country. We are looking for a dependable, safety-focused Commercial Driver to join our growing team and help transport oversized modular structures, materials, and equipment to job sites across the United States.This role is ideal for someone who is experienced with large trailers, oversized loads, long-distance hauling, and navigating challenging deliveries with professionalism and precision. The right candidate will take pride in representing the Golfsheds brand on the road and at customer locations.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely transport Golfsheds structures, materials, equipment, and related components to project sites nationwideOperate heavy-duty pickup trucks, trailers, and commercial transport equipmentHandle oversized and overweight loads in compliance with DOT regulations and permitting requirementsPerform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles, trailers, and equipmentSecure loads properly using straps, chains, binders, and appropriate tie-down methodsCoordinate delivery schedules and communicate proactively with operations and install teamsAssist with loading, unloading, staging, and occasional on-site setup supportNavigate urban, residential, and remote delivery environments safely and professionallyMaintain accurate logs, mileage records, inspection reports, and transport documentationEnsure vehicles and trailers remain clean, organized, and properly maintainedRepresent Golfsheds professionally with customers, contractors, and vendorsQualificationsValid CDL required (Class A)Experience hauling oversized, wide, tall, or specialty loadsStrong understanding of trailer operation, load balancing, and cargo securementFamiliarity with DOT regulations, transport permits, and safety proceduresExperience towing large gooseneck, flatbed, or enclosed trailersAbility to travel regularly and stay overnight for deliveries when neededMechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issuesClean driving record and strong safety historyForklift, telehandler, or equipment operation experience is a plusConstruction, modular building, or specialty transport experience preferredProfessional attitude with strong communication and problem-solving skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and move heavy materials regularlyComfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to climb, bend, secure loads, and work around trailers and heavy equipmentMust be capable of long driving hours and multi-day trips when requiredPreferred ExperienceOversized load permitting and route planningExperience with modular structures or construction-related transportationBasic construction or installation knowledgeExperience working with escort vehicles and oversized transport requirementsWhat We OfferCompetitive pay based on experienceWork with a fast-growing luxury brandHigh-quality equipment and unique projectsTeam-oriented environmentOpportunity for advancement as Golfsheds expands nationwideAbout Golfsheds We create luxury outdoor golf simulator structures designed to bring a premium golf experience directly to the backyard.
