This individual will serve as the lead safety authority onsite, responsible for driving the overall safety program, ensuring compliance, and fostering a proactive safety culture across all field operations.This is a high-visibility role supporting a fast-paced, complex project environment with multiple subcontractors and critical construction activities.ResponsibilitiesOwn and execute the site-specific Safety Execution PlanDevelop, implement, and continuously improve site safety procedures and protocolsEnsure full compliance with OSHA, client standards, and site-specific requirementsLead and manage all onsite safety operations and initiativesSupervise and support Safety Coordinators and field safety staffAct as the primary point of contact for all safety-related matters onsiteManage and conduct weekly safety audits and inspectionsOversee HSE reporting, including metrics, trends, and corrective actionsEnsure accurate and timely submission of documentation to General Contractors and stakeholdersAddress and manage OSHA-related concerns and compliance requirementsLead all incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysisManage injured employees through return-to-work processImplement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate future riskOversee new hire onboarding and safety orientation programsManage orientation schedules and ensure workforce readinessCoordinate and track onsite safety training and certificationsMaintain all certification records, including documentation within NGBS systemsOversee and enforce: JSA (Job Safety Analysis)PTP (Pre-Task Planning)HHC (High Hazard Coordination)Ensure proper execution of safety planning for high-risk activitiesManage PPE programs, including issuance, tracking, and complianceOversee inspection and calibration of PPECoordinate with vendors (e.g., Cintas) for safety supplies and servicesDrive safety incentive programs to promote engagement and accountabilityPartner with field teams to reinforce a proactive, solutions-oriented safety cultureConduct regular safety meetings, toolbox talks, and leadership engagement sessionsRequirements812+ years of construction safety experience, preferably in: data centers, mission-critical environments, large-scale industrial or commercial constructionProven experience as a Site Safety Manager / EHS ManagerStrong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 standardsExperience managing multiple subcontractors and field teamsDemonstrated ability to lead safety programs on fast-paced, high-value projectsOSHA 30 (required), OSHA 500/510 (preferred)CHST, CSP, or equivalent certifications are a plusExperience working in Owner's Rep or GC environmentsFamiliarity with safety tracking/reporting systems (Procore, NGBS, etc.)
