Job Summary:
We are seeking a graphic designer to be a creative voice on our product development team! In this position, you’ll utilize a range of surface design methods to embellish, amplify, and fabulously bedazzle dance costumes for our clients and our online store. These methods include dye sublimation, rhinestone, sequin, embroidery, and vinyl applications.
We’re looking for you: a skilled, creative, and trend-forward graphic designer to help drive innovation and inspire exciting new designs. You’re a candidate that will work well under the direction of our highly collaborative product development team, while simultaneously being self-motivated and driven to meet team goals.

About the job:
This position is a unique blend of fashion knowledge, graphic design prowess, and technical savvy. We’re a small team so you’ll dip your hands in a variety of activities:
Design Innovation – Drive design innovation for surface design under the overall direction and strategy of our Creative Director
Trend forecasting: Research, present, and stay up to date on marketplace trends for surface design techniques and innovation.
Graphic Artwork - Create unique surface design artwork for designs and prototypes in the mediums of sublimation, rhinestones, spangles, embroidery, and vinyl.
Time Management - Effectively manage, prioritize, and collaborate on tasks to meet team deadlines.
Production Artwork: Prepare artwork spec files for production to ensure efficiency and quality standards.

About you:
Design eye – You’ve got good taste and know how to make things visually appealing. Your strong portfolio showcases knowledge in apparel applications.
Software Acumen – Your advanced understanding of graphic design software and application to apparel allows you to create unique and timely designs.
Respect for details – You have a strong eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Organized self-starter – You’re able to meet deadlines, prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment. You’ll have a lot of moving parts that you’ll need to keep track of and self-manage.
Strong communication skills – you have excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
A growth Mindset – You are eager to learn, grow, and adapt to changing work needs and comfortable giving and receiving design feedback.
You get into it - A passion for fashion and creativity with the desire to generate innovative solutions to design challenges.

Dance or skate experience – You have a passion or background in dance or skate and can apply your innate knowledge to drive marketing results.
Education and Experience:
Degree in Graphic Design, Textile Design, or related field
3 years of professional experience required
Apparel Design knowledge not necessary but highly beneficial
Dance, skating, or cheerleading experience is not necessary but highly beneficial
Optitex, Clo or other 3D apparel software experience is not necessary but highly beneficial
Portfolio with sample of your work is required for consideration
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Additional Considerations:
Wage is dependent on experience.
Full time position of a minimum of 80 hours per week.
Office Hours: 8:00- 5:00 Monday – Friday
