Job DescriptionPosition Title: DriverPosition Reports To: Area Operations ManagerPosition SummaryDriver is responsible for ensuring the jobsite has an adequate and timely flow of materials and equipmentEssential Functions* A construction expeditor must be organized and competent to handle several tasks.* You should have excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.* Project management expertise as well as familiarity with fundamental technical and buying concepts will be highly helpful.* Must routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, but only on a regular basis, up to 25 pounds.* Specifically calls for near vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the capacity to change focus.Education & Experience* Minimum 1-2 years of driving experience* Requires a valid driver's license and the ability to drive a motor vehicle in a safe manner while carefully observing all traffic regulations* Forklift experience, unloading/loading construction materialKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities* Determine supply needs through technical details and schedules* Manage the orders of material and equipment to meet project requirements* Coordinate the delivery of supplies according to priorities and specifications* Resolve problems to speed up delivery of orders* Inspect orders upon arrival to ensure the correct quality and quantity* Monitor inventory of supplies for different jobs or sites* Place orders when needed aiming for timely delivery and competitive price* Arrange the movement of material between locations* Maintain good relationships with suppliers and vendors* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsWork Conditions/Physical Demands* Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.* Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.* No adverse environmental conditions expected.* Must be able to work in high noise volumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, dusty conditions, hazardous machinery, precarious places, proximity to other employees.* Background Check RequirementsDrug ProgramAll employees at made aware that Apache has a comprehensive drug/ alcohol policy and program in place, which includes random testing
