Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Shipping Manager to lead our shipping and logistics operations. In this vital role, you will oversee the entire shipping process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products while maintaining optimal inventory control. Your leadership will drive process improvements, streamline warehouse distribution, and uphold safety standards across all shipping activities. The Shipping Manager reports directly to General Manager. Primary duties include: The Warehouse Logistics Manager Overseas the Shipping department manages all in house inventory. Ensure smooth operations of shipping. Responsibilities include. Training and supervising shipping associates. Managing drop ship process, developing training protocols for new hire shipping associates. Holding employees accountable for shipping errors. Communicating with Order Fulfilment and design team, embroidery, screen print and heat press managers as well as the sales ERM team ensuring smooth flow of outbound orders through the shipping department. Is responsible for coordinating workflow across departments by creating and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve consistency and efficiency. With a focus on proactive communication and operational clarity, this role ensures that shipping timelines are met, YFD inventory is accurate, and customer expectations are consistently exceeded. Duties Supervise daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring all shipments are processed accurately and efficiently Manage inventory levels through precise inventory management practices and utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track stock movements Coordinate warehouse distribution activities, optimizing space utilization and materials handling procedures Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff, including warehouse supervisors and team members, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement Oversee forklift operations and heavy lifting tasks, ensuring compliance with OSHA safety standards and mechanical safety protocols Implement process improvements to enhance shipping workflows, reduce errors, and increase overall productivity Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to streamline outbound shipments and manage logistics effectively Maintain accurate shipping & receiving records using systems such as AS400 or equivalent enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies during all warehouse activities Conduct regular audits of inventory control procedures to prevent discrepancies and ensure accuracy in stock levels Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse management, shipping & receiving, or logistics roles with a focus on inventory control and distribution Prior experience as a warehouse supervisor or in a leadership role managing teams within a warehouse environment Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400 or similar ERP platforms, and materials handling equipment such as forklifts Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment operation and maintenance is highly desirable Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices for heavy lifting and materials handling Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative work environment Ability to implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency Experience working within e-commerce fulfillment centers or 3PL environments is a plus Join us as we build efficient, safe, and innovative shipping operations that keep our supply chain moving forward!
