Preschool Dance Teacher
Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Dance Teacher to inspire young children through movement, music, and creative expression. The ideal candidate will have a background in early childhood education, dance, and classroom management, with a strong ability to develop engaging curriculum tailored for preschoolers. Responsibilities
Design and implement age-appropriate dance lessons that incorporate elements of ballet, tap, and creative movement to engage preschool children.
Develop curriculum that promotes childhood development, motor skills, coordination, and self-expression.
Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Utilize classroom management techniques to encourage good behavior and participation among young students.
Incorporate educational themes into dance activities that support early childhood education standards.
Engage with children through storytelling, singing, photography projects, and other creative methods to enhance their learning experience.
Collaborate with parents and staff to monitor each child's progress and address individual needs.
Maintain organized lesson plans and classroom materials, including sewing or costume elements when applicable.
Foster a love for dance while supporting social-emotional development through nurturing interactions.
Skills
Experience with early childhood education and preschool classroom experience.
Strong background in dance styles such as ballet, tap, gymnastics or creative movement.
Ability to develop engaging curriculum tailored for young children’s developmental stages.
Excellent classroom management skills to maintain discipline and foster positive behavior management.
Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
Skills in lesson planning, tutoring, and adapting activities for diverse learning needs including special education considerations.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents. Ability to choreograph a recital routine for 3-4 year old children.
Requirment to full fill the job position through June 2026.
Must be available on Saturday mornings.
Pay: $22.10 - $26.61 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 2.0 per week
