Dog Bather

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Bather to join our team. The head groomer who has been here for 20 years is very busy and needs help bathing / setting dogs up for grooming. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and experience in handling various breeds and sizes of pets. As a Pet Bather, you will be responsible for providing high-quality bathing and grooming services to ensure the health and well-being of our furry clients. Your role will involve working closely with pet owners to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and clean environment. Duties Bathe, dry, and groom pets according to breed standards and owner preferences Handle pets safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process Maintain cleanliness in the bathing area, including cleaning tools and equipment after each use Assist with animal restraint during grooming procedures to ensure safety for both pets and staff Provide basic pet care services, including brushing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning Communicate with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and any observations during grooming sessions Collaborate with team members to create a positive experience for pets and their owners Experience Previous experience in dog training or veterinary settings is highly desirable Familiarity with dog handling techniques and animal restraint methods Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is a plus Background in equine care or kennel experience is beneficial Strong skills in customer service to effectively interact with pet owners Knowledge of pet grooming techniques and practices is preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed when handling larger animals Join our team of animal lovers where your passion for pets can shine!
