Athletic Trainer (P-T) -NCMC

This position is paid for through Edustaff, who's your employer, and your worksite is North Central Michigan College.SUMMARYThis position is responsible for the comprehensive health, wellness, and performance of community college student-athletes. The Certified Athletic Trainer will provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services for North Central Michigan College student-athletes as well as serve as the host site certified athletic trainer for all home Timberwolves athletic events.DUTIES1. Injury Prevention:Develop and implement injury prevention programs.Conduct pre-participation physical evaluations.Ensure proper use of protective equipment.2. Injury Evaluation and Treatment:Provide on-site injury evaluation and immediate care during practices and competitions for home and visiting teams.Develop and implement rehabilitation programs.Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.Coordinate referrals to physicians and other healthcare professionals.3. Administrative Duties:Manage student-athlete health records.Maintain inventory of athletic training supplies and equipment.Develop and implement emergency action plans.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.File insurance claim paperwork with secondary insurance provider.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Master's degree in athletic trainingNATA BOC CertificationLicensed or eligible to be licensed as athletic trainer in State of MichiganCurrent CPR/AED certificationExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively with student athletes, coaches, and other staff membersAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends1-3 years of experience in a collegiate athletic setting preferredPay Rate: $40.00/hour.Hours: 25 hours per week/45 weeks per year (aligned with sport seasons).Perks and benefits from North Central Michigan College:Tuition waiverFree access to fitness center/gym/sporting eventsFree access to employee assistance program through "Ulliance"
