Central is growing and looking for a Commercial Fleet / Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to join our team in Great Falls, MT. We offer great wages and benefits to skilled, qualified applicants, depending on experience.Hourly Pay Range: $32-$40 DOEJOB OBJECTIVEQualified candidates must have a comprehensive working knowledge of all aspects of heavy equipment. Be able to perform a variety of work associated with the repair and maintenance of gasoline and diesel engines, DOT trucks, and trailers. Have a proven ability to fabricate specialized parts and effectively troubleshoot. Ability to understand system design and manufacturer requirements is necessary.This position will manage and maintain all aspects of Central's fleet to include: Pickups, DOT trucks / trailers, heavy equipment, and small engines.This position is responsible for performing and updating records of oil changes and other maintenance on heavy equipment, DOT trucks / trailers, and pickups.This position is responsible for accurately performing DOT annual inspections.Individual will communicate with company personnel and vendors via written correspondence, phone, or in-person to service their daily needs.Individual will perform data entry tasks and be responsible for the accurate tracking of purchases, equipment, maintenance records, e-mails, and other related tasks.This position will report to the General Superintendent.QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS REQUIREDApplicant must have the ability to obtain a valid Montana Commercial Operators License (Class A, Type II) with no restrictions, a tank endorsement, and a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
