This role assists with supervising custodial teams, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, maintaining safe and sanitary environments, and supporting daily operational activities. The position plays a key role in promoting operational excellence, workforce engagement, and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in supervising and coordinating housekeeping staff to ensure all assigned areas meet cleanliness, safety, and contract standardsSupport the development, adjustment, and execution of daily, weekly, and monthly work schedulesConduct routine inspections to verify work quality and compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirementsCollaborate with the Executive Housekeeper to maintain accurate inventory records, equipment logs, and asset trackingTrain new and existing team members on cleaning procedures, equipment use, safety practices, and infection control protocolsServe as a communication liaison between shift leads and management to align operational goals and resolve issuesRespond to client inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner, escalating complex matters as appropriateMonitor the proper handling, storage, and use of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipmentAssist with administrative reporting related to inspections, staffing, incidents, and supply usageProvide leadership coverage in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper, including emergency after-hours response when requiredPromote a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork across all operationsQualifications & ExperienceRequired:High school diploma or GEDMinimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare environmental services (EVS) or custodial operations, preferably in a medical or government facilityMinimum of one (1) year of supervisory or team lead experienceKnowledge of infection prevention practices and hospital-grade disinfectantsFamiliarity with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and custodial standardsAbility to read and interpret work statements, policies, and safety proceduresProficiency in operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet extractors, and vacuumsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to lift and move up to 50 pounds and perform physical cleaning dutiesPreferred:Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) credential or equivalentExperience supporting government custodial or environmental services contractsWork Environment & Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 poundsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periodsComfortable working with cleaning chemicals and hospital-grade disinfectantsExposure to healthcare environments, including potential biohazardsAbility to work in a variety of indoor environmental conditionsSchedule & TravelSchedule may vary based on contract and operational needsAvailability for emergency after-hours response as requiredWhy Join This Team?A mission-driven culture dedicated to economic advancement and community impactGuided by strong NATIVE values and tribal-owned purposeCareer stability and opportunities across diverse industriesA collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and professional growthOur Commitment to DiversityHo-Chunk, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
