This role serves as the first point of contact for patients both in person and over the phone, ensuring excellent customer service while maintaining accurate patient information, scheduling, and HIPAA compliance.The ideal candidate will have prior physician practice or medical office insurance verification experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Key ResponsibilitiesGreet patients in person and via telephone in a professional and courteous mannerVerify and update patient demographics and insurance informationConfirm physician participation with patient insurance plansSchedule and confirm patient appointmentsObtain referrals and insurance authorizations as requiredCollect co-pays and process payments following cash-handling proceduresMaintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentialityCommunicate patient arrivals and appointment updates with clinical staffAnswer incoming calls and provide excellent telephone supportMonitor waiting room flow and communicate delays or wait times to patientsAssist patients with medical records request proceduresPerform data entry, simple charge entry, and administrative support tasks as neededConduct reminder calls for upcoming appointmentsSupport additional front office duties as assignedRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum 1 year of physician practice or medical office experience requiredExperience with insurance verification and patient schedulingKnowledge of HIPAA compliance standardsStrong keyboarding and data entry skillsExcellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environmentEnglish proficiency required (Read, Write, Speak)Preferred QualificationsExperience with IDX or other Practice Management SystemsKnowledge of medical terminologyPrior front desk or patient registration experience in a healthcare settingPride-Health offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors.Equal Employment OpportunityPride-Health is an equal opportunity employer.
