Technical and Trade SchoolsInvestigation and Security ServicesSupport Activities for Air TransportationElectronics and Appliance RetailersShip and Boat BuildingElectronic Security Systems (ESS) Technician Job Type: Direct Hire Full TimeSalary: 50-70K per yearStart date: 0-2 weeksOpenings: 4Location(s): SE and NE US Duties and tasks:Build, test, troubleshoot, repair and modify developmental and electrical or electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems by performing the following duties:Participate in layout and assembly procedures and solve problems.Draw schematics to clarify design details and functional criteria of electronic units.Review the system logs and error logs for any problem indicatorsPhysical inspection of all access control, video surveillance and intrusion detection devices for full functionality and proper alignmentTest each access control, video surveillance and intrusion detection device installed to verify correct operations are recorded on the system logs.Test batteries and backup batteries installed in each ACS/IDS sub-system enclosureSuggest changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.Sets up standard test apparatus and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production models.Analyzation and interpretation of test data.Adjusts, calibrates, aligns, and modifies circuitry and components and records effects on unit performance.Checks functioning of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.Education/Experience:2 plus years of Installation experience with physical security access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection system hardware.(1) years of Installation experience with one or more systems in each of the following categories:AMAG Certification is required
