The CFO will be a key partner to the President/CEO, with primary responsibilities including balance sheet strategy, oversight of the investment portfolio, and ensuring sound asset/liability management in line with regulatory expectations. This role is critical for maintaining the company's position as a trusted financial partner to its member credit unions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years' experience in a senior financial leadership role, with a strong preference for those with a background in correspondent banking or corporate credit unions. Deep financial expertise, a collaborative leadership style, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly are essential. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with advanced degrees or professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or MBA being preferred. The role requires a leader who is adept at financial management, accounting, and asset/liability management, and who can contribute to the organization's enterprise risk management efforts. The CFO will also be responsible for leading a small but high-performing accounting team and must be committed to the cooperative values that define the credit union movement.
