Cloud + Java + Kafka

Overview In this role you guide cloud strategy and delivery for enterprise-scale applications. You work with cross-functional teams to implement cloud migration and develop custom applications using Java/J2EE, .NET, and open source tech. You shape architectures and deployment approaches across databases and stacks, including AWS or IBM Bluemix/SoftLayer. You operate in a fast-paced IT services environment, delivering complex projects and accelerating digital initiatives. ResponsibilitiesProvide cloud consulting and migration guidance for enterprise projectsDevelop and implement custom applications using Java/J2EE, .NET, and open source techCollaborate on UI/UX considerations and rapid prototypingPlan and manage integration, deployment, and application migration strategiesExecute cloud migration initiatives across AWS/IBM Bluemix/IBM SoftLayer covering full tech stack including databasesLeverage web application servers and NoSQL databases as part of solution deliveryUtilize architecture tools and configuration management tools to support delivery (e.g., TROUX, Visio, Confluence, Puppet, Chef, Ansible)Work with open source tools and version control systems (e.g., Jira, Jenkins, Git, Mercurial) Key requirementsTotal experience 14+ years with at least 2 years in cloud consultingHands-on expertise in AWS or IBM SoftLayerExtensive Java/J2EE, .NET and open source development experienceMinimum 5 enterprise projects with integration, deployment, and migration strategiesAt least 2 cloud migration implementations (AWS/IBM Bluemix/IBM SoftLayer) across full technology stack including databases6–10 years in Java/J2EE development; web services, XML/HTMLFamiliarity with UI frameworks (NodeJS, AngularJS) and application servers (Apache, IBM WebSphere, JBoss)NoSQL experience (e.g., MongoDB, GemFire)Experience with architecture tools, configuration management tools, and open source tools (Jira, Jenkins, Confluence, Puppet, Chef, Salt, Ansible, Git, Mercurial)Educational requirement: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent; substitution allowed for years of experienceAWSIBM SoftLayerJava/J2EE.NETNodeJSAngularJS
