Deliver critical care as a Registered Nurse specialized in Intensive Care Unit nursing in Moreno Valley, CA. This travel nursing opportunity requires a proactive professional prepared to provide high-quality medical care within a dynamic healthcare environment.Key Responsibilities:Conduct timely comprehensive patient assessments considering physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual aspects.Develop, review, and update individualized patient care plans based on assessments and interdisciplinary collaboration.Administer medications accurately using the 7 rights and monitor/ document treatment effects.Perform nursing treatments and procedures adhering to hospital policies, sterile techniques, and patient privacy.Utilize SBAR communication for effective handoffs and promptly report clinical changes to healthcare team members.Educate patients and families tailored to their needs, employing appropriate resources.Interpret diagnostic data, manage critical care equipment including cardiac monitors and specialty beds.Apply protocols for pain management, sedation, sepsis, ventilator-associated pneumonia, pressure ulcers, and central line care.Comply with safety standards including National Patient Safety Goals, infection control policies, and disaster response protocols.Maintain accurate, timely documentation including assessments, care plans, medication records, and critical values.Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and adhere to blood transfusion and high-risk medication policies.Understand and activate Rapid Response Team when necessary.Desired Experience and Qualifications:Current RN license with ICU nursing experience.Proficient in critical care nursing assessment, planning, and implementation.Familiarity with ICU monitoring equipment, pressure monitoring, cardiac dysrhythmia recognition.Ability to follow established nursing protocols and safety guidelines.Strong communication and documentation skills.Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices.Location Insight: Moreno Valley, CA, offers a welcoming community atmosphere with access to local parks and cultural activities.
