Analytics Engineer

DataDrive is looking for an Analytics Engineer who thrives across the full analytics stack. In this role, you will build and maintain data pipelines, transform raw data into reliable models, and develop the Tableau dashboards that put insights in front of our clients. You will not be siloed into one discipline. The balance between data engineering and dashboard development shifts with client needs, and the right person finds energy in both. This is a high-impact position in a small, growing company. You will work directly with clients, shape how our platform evolves, and have real influence over the tools and practices we adopt. What You Will Do Data Engineering & Pipeline Development Monitor, optimize, and integrate batch data pipelines into Snowflake using ELT tools (Fivetran, Airbyte) and custom Python integrations to databases and APIs Build and maintain dbt projects that transform source data into clean, tested reporting models Develop Airflow orchestration pipelines connecting data ingestion, Snowflake, dbt, and Tableau Design and implement DataOps practices using GitHub Actions, dbt testing, and data observability tooling Tableau & Analytics Delivery Build and maintain Tableau dashboards and published data sources as a core part of client delivery, following internal design standards Set up optimized, easy-to-use data sources in Tableau that enable self-service analytics for clients Collaborate with clients to translate business questions into effective visualizations Platform & Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve our managed analytics platform and build the automation to make it happen Stay current on the evolving cloud data and analytics ecosystem Commit to strong SDLC practices including version control, code review, and documentation You are equally comfortable writing dbt models and building Tableau dashboards You are a strong listener and collaborator who brings an optimistic, solution-oriented approach to problems You embrace an incremental improvement mindset and are always looking for ways to do things better You take ownership of your work and hold yourself to a high standard You are adaptable and excited to wear many hats as every team member plays an influential role at DataDrive What We Are Looking For Required 3+ years of professional experience building cloud data pipelines and working within a cloud data warehouse Strong proficiency in SQL and Python Working experience with Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow (or similar orchestration tools) Experience designing data models to support reporting and business outcomes 1+ years of hands-on Tableau development (dashboard building, data source configuration, calculated fields) Nice to Have Experience with Fivetran, Terraform, or GitHub Actions Familiarity with AWS services Who You Are Background in consulting or client-facing analytics delivery Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a small-company environment Schedule & Workplace DataDrive is a remote-first company with a flexible, virtual workplace. We expect employees to be generally available Monday through Friday during core hours (9 AM - 4 PM CST) for meetings, collaboration, and client communication. You should have reliable high-speed internet access, keep your camera on for most meetings, and dress appropriately for client-facing interactions.
