Project Engineer

Purpose: The Project Engineer is responsible for providing the Project Managers and field supervision with administrative support and coordinating procedures related to all phases of work.Essential Duties include the following:Complies with company safety policy; participates in field safety audits and files documentationAttends project turnover and kickoff meetings as requiredContributes to job set up, commodity material buyouts, major material orders, subcontract PO's, releasing, tracking and PSO; verifies scope and critical time requirementsVerifies specifications and submittal compliance; provides PO numbers and submits Material Orders to vendorsAssists Accounts Payable in the close out and invoicing of POsMonitors material returns and tracks credit memosManages all submittal packages, logs status and follows up until all items are approved and materials releasedUpdates and maintains required logs; RFIs, COs, Submittals, O&M, Materials etc.Manages document control in COINS for all assigned projectsMaintains and audits job files ensuring continuityManages and opens any necessary job permitsAssists Billing Coordinators to ensure monthly billings are on time and completeProvides Project Manager with any required reportsResponsible for compliance with all Kenny SOPsEnsures all closeout documentation is compliant and completePerforms other duties as assigned by Project Manager i.e. reports to general contractors, relevant scheduling, RFI research and issuance, and project activity coordinationQualifications/ Requirements:1+ year of prior experience in construction management project support or Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related fieldProficient in MS Office and BluebeamProficient with construction accounting systemPossesses strong organizational skills and be able to plan, coordinate on multiple projectsEffectively communicates both verbally and through written formatDemonstrates ability to maintain rapport with customers, vendors and employeesPhysical Requirements:Sedentary physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature. Performance of the job may require sitting, handling items and working with fingers to type, complete paperwork, and handle other administrative functions. Occasionally, may be asked to walk, stand, talk and hear others in conversation by phone or in person.Work Environment: Well-lit, heated, and/or air-conditioned modern office setting with adequate ventilation.
