Job Title: Grasslands LeadReports to: Director of Product Location: Nashville, TN (On-Site) Position Summary: AgriCapture is seeking a driven, entrepreneurial leader to grow our Grassland Carbon Program. This role is focused on securing acreage, building landowner trust, and driving high-integrity carbon credit generation from avoided grassland conversion. You’ll work directly with private landowners, land boards, trusts, and asset managers to bring grassland into our program and help deliver the financial, ecological, and climate value of protecting it. You’ll need to bring deep knowledge of grassland and rangeland ecosystems, credibility with both landowners and institutions, and the ability to move quickly from pitch to project execution. This is a full-time, Nashville-based role with in-office presence required. Compensation will include a performance-based component tied to eligible acres enrolled and verified carbon credits generated.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive Acreage Growth:- Identify and secure eligible grassland acres across the U.S.- Build and manage a pipeline of landowners, land trusts, and asset managers aligned with our program. Landowner Engagement & Value Proposition:- Communicate the financial and conservation benefits of carbon enrollment.- Build trust and close agreements with institutional and individual landowners. Legal & Compliance Support:- Review conservation easements, development rights agreements, and carbon contracts.- Coordinate with legal team to ensure alignment with registry and program requirements. Data & GIS Coordination:- Support field boundary validation, land use history verification, and ongoing data collection.- Work closely with the GIS and remote sensing teams to deliver accurate project inputs. Ecological Expertise:- Evaluate land suitability and rangeland characteristics.-Advise internal team on data collection parameters suited for ranching systems.- Advise internal team and landowners on sound rangeland and grassland practices. Corporate Credit Sales Support:- Contribute to credit marketing, story telling, and buyer-facing materials.- Join pitches and conversations with credit buyers as needed. Required Qualifications· 5+ years of experience in rangeland ecology, land transactions, conservation, or carbon projects· Strong network across landowners, land trusts, land boards, and asset managers· Comfort reading and negotiating legal agreements and easements· Excellent communication skills able to engage with ranchers, land investors, and corporates alike· Self-directed, execution-focused, and aligned with AgriCapture’s mission· Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time Preferred Qualifications· Familiarity with the ACR Avoided Conversion of Grassland and Shrubland, CAR Grassland Protocol, and Verra’s VM32 and VM42 methodologies· Prior experience with conservation easements, ACEP, CRP, or mitigation banking· Policy or regulatory familiarity with land conservation or carbon markets· Familiarity with GIS data workflows and land-based carbon methodologies· Expertise in Adaptive Multi-Paddock Grazing techniques Benefits· 100% of employee medical premiums covered· Employer HSA contribution· Dental, Vision, Disability, and Life Insurance· 401(k) with company match· Flexible PTO and paid holidays· Parental leave· Monthly happy hours, bi-weekly team lunches, stocked office kitchen
