Our Maestro MEA and Impedance platforms model human heartbeats, brain activity, cancer drug and vaccine effectiveness in a microplate.Axion's platform is the advanced MEA system on the market, with expansion into imaging. We are seeking an energetic person comfortable selling a technical, assay-based scientific product to scientists, and adaptable to a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.Duties and Responsibilities Sell Axion's product portfolio in the Northwest Region based out of the San Francisco areaDevelop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers within the assigned territory to reach revenue targets; responsible for all pre-sales activities including prospecting, presentations, and system demosWork closely with field applications scientists to manage installations, trainings, and general post-sales supportResponsible for price negotiations and quoting for systems and consumablesMaintain customer information and pipeline in Salesforce.comDevelop and maintain deep product knowledgeMaintain knowledge of competitive products and technologiesProvide feedback to sales management regarding market dynamics, product performance, competition, and market potentialSkills and Qualifications BS, MS, or PhD in cell biology, molecular biology or a related science5 years selling in the life science industry, capital equipment preferredAbility to work independently from a home-based officeAbility to travel 50% within the assigned territoryAttend national trade shows when neededExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMust be able to lift 50lbsStrong work ethic and desire to succeedSelf-starter that exhibits strong creativity and resourcefulnessStrong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasksEfficiently works under pressures and within deadlinesWorks well in a team environmentSelf-confident and outgoing personalityProven ability to succeed with a technical saleTarget Markets Pharma/Biotech accounts - Basic research, Tox, Safety, Core & HTS labsAcademic accounts - all life science research, disease areas, Core & HTS labsTravel Ability to travel 50% within the assigned territorySalary and Benefits Salary: $120,000-$140,000 base salary depending on experienceFlexible, Hybrid, and Remote SchedulesBenefits: Medical insurance, Vision insurance, 401(k), Paid paternity leave, Paid maternity leaveAdditional Details Seniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Sales and Business Development#J-18808-Ljbffr
