G-Code Lathe Programming Specialist

Build the code that builds the part. Imagine walking into a clean, organized Bedford Park shop where Doosan lathes hum and every fixture you select matters. You pull up Mastercam, craft a tight, efficient program, run the first article, and watch the part meet spec on the first pass. That’s your day—owning precision for the rubber roller industry in a company that’s been steady since 1968.Your mission Program CNC lathes with G-code and Mastercam to achieve close tolerances Set up machines, choose tooling/workholding, and optimize speeds and feeds Execute first article inspections and complete daily documentation Troubleshoot program and machine issues to keep production moving Read and interpret blueprints and drawings with confidence Maintain an orderly workspace and uphold quality standards What sets you up for success 3+ years of CNC lathe setup and operation (additional equipment experience welcomed) Fanuc control experience and strong G-code fundamentals Mastercam proficiency; at-the-machine programming preferred Comfort with calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring tools Driven, curious, and collaborative in a fast-paced, team environment Tools of the trade Doosan CNC Lathes: 2–4 axis and 5+ axis Mastercam CAD/CAMSchedule & Location Full-time, 40-hour workweek with overtime as needed Based in Bedford Park, ILWhat you’ll gain Paid time off and holidays Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) with employer contribution Opportunities to advance as programming operations and machine capabilities expand Core proficienciesCNC Tooling Troubleshooting SkillsCNC ProgrammingG-CodeCNC Machine Setup & Changeover Manual Machining SkillsCAD/CAM Software Equal OpportunityAMC is an Equal Opportunity employer.
