Locations: Winston-Salem, NC | Fayetteville, NC | Greenville, NC | Marion, NCBegin Your Counseling Career with PurposeCareNet Counseling is accepting applications for Counseling Residents to join our team across multiple North Carolina locations.As a CareNet Resident, you will provide supervised clinical counseling services while participating in a robust residency program designed to prepare you for independent licensure and long‐term professional success in a mission‐driven counseling environment.Essential FunctionsProvide high‐quality clinical services including pastoral counseling, psychotherapy, consultation, and psychoeducation under supervisionConduct comprehensive client intakes, collect full client data, and establish clear, written therapeutic agreementsAssist clients in identifying goals and working toward desired therapeutic outcomesParticipate fully in the CareNet Residency in Psychotherapy and Spirituality, including required training sessions and learning activitiesAttend scheduled resident group meetings and weekly individual supervision sessionsComplete required reading, writing assignments, and documentation of supervisory hoursMaintain ethical standards in accordance with professional and licensing guidelinesCollaborate effectively with clinical, administrative, and support staff to promote high‐quality careContribute to departmental effectiveness, quality improvement efforts, and daily operationsServe on department committees or work groups as assignedAt the discretion of the Regional Manager, assist with administrative, marketing, or community outreach activities (up to one day per week)Build cooperative working relationships with community professionals and referral sourcesEngage in ongoing professional development and skill building to support licensure and clinical growthEducation, Experience, Licensure, and Certification RequirementsMaster's or Doctorate degree in a counseling‐related discipline requiredCompletion of an accredited counseling program, including internships in mental health settingsExperience in ministry or human services preferredActive associate behavioral health license in North Carolina , such as:LCMHC-ALMFT‐ALCSW‐ALCAS‐ASkills & QualificationsDemonstrated potential to provide effective clinical care under supervisionOpenness to supervision, feedback, and structured trainingStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to maintain personal, emotional, physical, and spiritual well‐being while serving a diverse client populationCommitment to teamwork, ethical practice, and CareNet's mission and valuesWillingness to contribute to administrative, outreach, and programmatic needs of the centerShift & Work DetailsStatus: Full‐time Counseling ResidentSchedule: Primarily daytime hours; flexibility based on client and training needsWork Environment: Clean, well‐lit office setting with moderate noise levels; role may involve emotionally charged or complex client situations
