If you are a person with a relentless drive to succeed, a strong focus on quality with a passion for success – join us today!UCT is seeking a skilled TIG Welder III to support precision fabrication in a fast-paced manufacturing environment at our Chandler, AZ facility.The TIG Welder III performs advanced, precision welding operations with minimal supervision, specializing in thin-wall aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel while maintaining tight tolerances and high cosmetic standards. This role is responsible for interpreting complex blueprints, setting up welding equipment per process specifications, and completing high-quality weldments that meet strict AWS and internal quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive and review work orders, blueprints, and written instructions to plan welding operationsPerform advanced TIG welding with minimal supervision on a variety of metals including aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steelExecute welds on components requiring tight tolerances and high cosmetic qualityInterpret complex blueprints, manufacturing drawings, and AWS welding symbolsSet up and adjust welding equipment in accordance with weld process specifications (WPS)Position and secure components using fixtures, jigs, and precision measuring tools (calipers, squares, tape measures, rules)Conduct dimensional checks and visual inspections to ensure compliance with quality standardsPerform rework as needed to meet specificationsMaintain welding equipment and perform minor routine maintenanceAccurately complete documentation for labor tracking, production orders, and inspection resultsMeet daily production targets and maintain on-time performanceFollow all safety procedures and company policiesUtilize material handling equipment as neededSupport continuous improvement efforts and perform additional duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesStrong expertise in TIG welding processes, particularly for thin-wall materialsProven experience welding aluminum, stainless steel, and steel to tight tolerancesAbility to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and AWS welding symbolsProficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, squares, tape measures)Ability to produce welds that pass visual inspection and destructive testingWorking knowledge of welding equipment setup, parameters, and troubleshootingAbility to fabricate components by cutting, fitting, and welding metalsBasic math skills, including measurement conversions and calculationsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityMechanical aptitude and manual dexterityAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredVocational welding certification or equivalent training preferred3+ years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience working with precision fabrication and tight-tolerance assembliesWork Environment & Physical DemandsWork is performed primarily in a manufacturing environmentFrequent standing, bending, and use of hands and armsAbility to lift up to 25 pounds occasionallyExposure to noise and temperature variationsMust adhere to all safety and PPE requirementsClose vision and attention to detail are requiredEqual Opportunity StatementUltra Clean Technology is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
