Area Sales Representative

This position is to focus on outside business-to-business sales through lead generation and client development to continuously grow the representatives own portfolio and companys success. This role requires a motivated team player with exceptional communication and listening skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to be self-motivated and take direction. This position is a combination of generating new business, and client account management.ResponsibilitiesGenerate outside leads and prospect new business opportunities through tele-qualifying, field-qualifying, referrals and staying informed on the areas market opportunities and changesEffectively grow and manage the client pipeline from lead generation to client account managementProvide a high level of customer service while explaining the companys services and benefits to potential and existing clients Strength and maintain client relationships through frequent visits, phone calls, emails, promotional materials, lunch meetings and entertainment such as sporting events, and outingsUtilizes various tools and resources to maximize territorys business potential, such as but not limited to researching market changes, effectively qualifying businesses needs, and executing high-yielding call plans and strategiesResearch and develop an understanding of clients business, and their business needs to best represent and sell the companys servicesTypical schedule - Monday (Admin day/generating leads-home office) Tuesday-Friday out in the fieldQualificationsExcellent communication, interpersonal skills, and emotional intelligence for the purposes of building relationships2+ years of outside sales Domestic experience within a white glove high-end value logistic's company requiredNeed to live within the Portland area or within an hour drive to Portland. Not looking to relocate someone.
