The Shift Lead helps maintain operational standards and creates a positive, high-performing team environment during each shift.Shift Leads model Kuppa Joy values and help drive excellence across all five operational pillars: Customer Service, Food & Drink Quality, Cleanliness, Teamwork, and Asset Protection.This position is ideal for a dependable, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to grow into higher levels of leadership.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to:Customer Service & HospitalityLead by example to deliver exceptional customer service. Create meaningful customer interactions, set the tone for the shift, and coach team members to prioritize connection and engagement.Food & Drink QualityEnsure all beverages and food items meet Kuppa Joy standards by following recipes, presentation guidelines, and quality expectations. Support training and provide real-time coaching to maintain consistency.CleanlinessMaintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing caf. Delegate and execute cleaning tasks throughout the shift and ensure both front and back of house meet company standards.TeamworkLead the floor during assigned shifts by delegating tasks, maintaining flow, and supporting team performance. Provide clear, respectful, and timely coaching to develop team members and improve performance.Asset ProtectionFollow all company policies and procedures related to cash handling, safety, and security.
