Job Title: Data Center Project ManagerLocation: Edina, MNDuration: 12+ Months ContractInterview Process: 2 Rounds – Zoom / Microsoft TeamsJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Data Center Project Manager to lead enterprise-scale data center exit, infrastructure modernization, and cloud migration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing complex cross-functional technology programs, particularly involving AWS cloud transformation and legacy application modernization.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate data center exit and consolidation initiatives, including sequencing, dependency management, and cross-functional readiness.Manage delivery of legacy application refactoring and modernization projects from on-premise environments to AWS cloud.Collaborate with application owners, cloud engineering teams, infrastructure teams, and AWS partners to drive migration planning and execution.Support application discovery, dependency mapping, and migration strategy development for safe infrastructure decommissioning.Coordinate with security, risk, and infrastructure teams to align cloud onboarding, controls, and remediation activities.Translate high-level cloud and DC exit strategies into executable project plans, milestones, and measurable deliverables.Manage multiple concurrent workstreams while maintaining strong communication across internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.Drive project governance, reporting, risk management, issue resolution, and escalation handling.Track and communicate project metrics, schedules, status updates, and delivery progress across the organization.Ensure adherence to project management standards, processes, controls, and SDLC methodologies.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.12+ years of IT Project/Program Management experience.5+ years managing infrastructure modernization, cloud migration, or data center exit programs.Strong experience leading on-premise to AWS cloud migration or application modernization initiatives.Solid understanding of legacy infrastructure environments, technical debt, and application dependencies.Experience managing projects through full SDLC phases: planning, design, build, testing, and implementation.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced enterprise environments.Self-driven leader with strong analytical and decision-making abilities.PMP Certification is a plus.Financial Services industry experience is preferred.
