Audiovisual & Event Technology Specialist
Position Description
The Audiovisual & Event Technology Specialist is responsible for providing audiovisual and event technology support for events held throughout the county at various locations. Events may include large-scale marquee events, press conferences, public meetings, and smaller internal or external events. Event environments vary and may include locations with no existing AV equipment, limited equipment, or fully equipped systems.
The Precinct maintains audiovisual equipment for event use. This position will have access to Precinct-owned vehicles for transporting equipment and supporting event operations. The role requires flexibility, independent judgment, and the ability to adapt to changing event requirements and environments.
Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, set up, operate, and dismantle audiovisual systems for events of varying size and complexity.
Assess event locations and determine appropriate audiovisual solutions based on available infrastructure and event needs.
Operate and troubleshoot audio, video, and presentation systems during live events.
Support high-visibility events, including press conferences and public-facing meetings.
Collaborate with event staff, presenters, and emcees to manage run-of-show audio cues and presentations, while setting appropriate expectations regarding audiovisual capabilities.
Participate in meetings to plan and coordinate audiovisual requirements with internal stakeholders.
Transport, manage, and maintain Precinct-owned audiovisual equipment using Precinct and personal vehicles.
Ready to adapt to changing schedules, priorities, and event requirements as needed.
Provide support for various general Information Technology tasks during periods without scheduled events, as assigned.

Requirements
Education
Must have a high school diploma or equivalency.
Experience
Experience in audiovisual support, event technology, or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of audiovisual equipment and live event operations.
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues in time-sensitive environments.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to lift, carry, and set up audiovisual equipment up to 80 pounds.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors.
Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on event needs, potentially including both evenings and weekends.
Licensure
Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record.
