HR Communications Coordinator

HR Communications Coordinator Our client is a leader in the construction industry, producing construction materials and providing construction services. They are seeking an HR Coordinator / Administrator responsible for supporting HR operations administratively as well as assisting with internal communications efforts. In this role, you will assist with onboarding, unionized activities and community outreach. This is a hybrid role (3 days/week in office with Monday and Friday remote) Responsibilities: Manage HRIS documents and input in the system (employee files, records and other documentation in compliance with employment laws/regulations) Prepare HR documents, letters and forms Track data in relation to the administration of collective bargaining agreement Update and maintain HR systems/databases Provide administrative support; scheduling, preparation of documents/reports and record-keeping of grievances, investigations and resolutions Ensure compliance and consistency of grievance correspondence, logs and timelines Assist with materials for labor meetings, negotiations and arbitrations HR and Operations point of coordination regarding for union-related updates and changes Aid in recruiting administration tasks; creating job postings, resume screening, scheduling, background and offers for hourly roles Manage pre-employment process; schedule drug screenings, new hire onboarding and setup in HRIS Ensure onboarding documents are completed correctly and filed in support of new hire orientations Maintain training records and track training completion Create and distribute internal communications and employee-facing materials for HR Support HR, recruiting and company branding initiatives via content creation and social media Assist with company newsletter and website updates Capture media (photos/videos) in relation to employee engagement and recruiting Participate in community outreach, events and job fairs Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree Min 2+ years of HR Coordinator and/or HR Administrator experience preferably within Construction/Building Materials and/or Manufacturing industry Recruiting experience a plus Experience within union environment preferred Experience with federal and state employment and wage laws/regulations a plus Ability to prioritize and multi-task, meet strict deadlines Strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent time management and organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and HRIS Possible overtime; events Ability to travel to other facilities as needed Offering: Hourly role $28.85 - $32.69/hour ($60-$68K/year) Eligible for Overtime Full Benefits Package, 401k Direct Sales Recruiting, LLC, (DSR) and DirectHR are National Recruitment organizations partnering with National, Regional and Local Clients to bring qualified candidates a career and a future.
