Civil Litigation Attorney

We are seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join a well-established litigation practice in Denver, Colorado. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a strong background in insurance defense and civil litigation who can independently manage complex litigation matters from inception through resolution.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience handling matters related to general liability, auto liability, premises liability, construction litigation, products liability, tort defense, and other civil defense matters. The role requires strong litigation, motion practice, deposition, and client communication skills.Key Responsibilities:• Independently manage a full civil litigation caseload• Handle matters involving insurance defense, tort litigation, premises liability, auto liability, construction defect, and related civil defense matters• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and discovery responses• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies• Take and defend depositions• Attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences• Communicate directly with clients, insurance carriers, adjusters, and opposing counsel• Prepare cases for trial and assist with trial proceedings when requiredRequired Qualifications:• J.D. from an accredited law school• Active Colorado Bar license• 5+ years of civil litigation and/or insurance defense experience• Strong experience with motion practice, discovery, depositions, and hearings• Ability to independently manage litigation files and deadlines• Excellent written, verbal, and advocacy skills• Strong organizational and time-management abilitiesPreferred Qualifications:• Trial experience is highly preferred• Experience in construction litigation, products liability, commercial litigation, or general liability defense• Prior experience working with insurance carriers and adjusters• Additional licenses in Wyoming and/or Nebraska are a plusWork Location:• Denver, Colorado (On-site)Employment Type:• Full-time
