A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work with medical telemetry, post catheterization, and cardiac drip patients • Maintain 6:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends • Care for 24-bed unit with daily census of 24 patients • Provide care for adult and geriatric patient populations • Manage patients with chest pain, CAD, diabetes, COPD, stroke, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, and other cardiac conditions • Perform pre and post angiogram/angioplasty care (no sheath pulls), assist with pacemaker/AICD procedures, and general surgical procedures • Work with telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, and wound vacuum equipment • Required to interpret and manage dysrhythmias and cardiac drips without titration • Complete 12-hour orientation program • Weekend coverage required with floating potential to sister facilities (agency first pull) • Two pre-approved time off days available • Must be assigned to "Emergency Team" during emergency events with expectation to remain at facility • Required certifications: BLS, telemetry experience, 2 years acute care experience • Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIH • Must have compact or Louisiana license in hand upon submission • Facility does not accept local travelers (must be over 65 miles from facility) • No call-ins accepted - strict attendance policy • Unit accepts first-time travelers Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical center providing advanced cardiac and telemetry services.
