Network Systems Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!The Role Provide network operations and engineering sustainment support to a mission-critical IP messaging and communications transport network. Develop an understanding of services offered to external organizations. Provide lifecycle systems engineering support to development and operations. Recommend solutions to satisfy customer requirements. Lead development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs). Support continuous service improvements and system performance tuning.What You'll Need Active DoD Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Security+ Certification or other DOD 8570 IAT Lvl II Certification. Extensive knowledge of defense-in-depth principles, network and security architecture, network topology, IT device integrity, and common security elements. 4+ years’ experience engineering and troubleshooting networks, including extensive routing and switching (MPLS, VPNs, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, Spanning Tree Protocol, VLANs, LLDP, VoIP, Multicast). Strong understanding and in-depth knowledge of IP network/subnet addressing. Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco enterprise network routing, switching, and firewall/security devices.What's On Offer Opportunity to support critical DISA-provided capabilities and services.
