Network Systems Engineer
We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!The Role Provide network operations and engineering sustainment support for a mission-critical IP messaging and communications transport network. Support lifecycle systems engineering for development and operations. Develop and continuously improve STIG compliant configuration baselines. Lead the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs). Perform highly technical maintenance involving firewalls, VPNs, IPS, load balancers, routers, switches, security solutions, and WANX. Participate in engineering meetings to ensure operational readiness for new solutions.What You'll Need Active DoD Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Security+ Certification or other DOD 8570 IAT Lvl II Certification (within a certain timeframe if not obtained prior to hire). Extensive knowledge of defense-in-depth principles, network/security architecture, network topology, and IT device integrity. 4+ years of experience engineering and troubleshooting networks, including extensive routing and switching (MPLS, VPNs, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, Spanning Tree, VLANs, LLDP, VoIP, Multicast). Strong understanding and in-depth knowledge of IP network/subnet addressing.
