Our multidisciplinary care team of more than 150 pediatric professionals cares for over 45,000 patients a year, and can treat just about anything. The St. Paul emergency department offers 24-hour access and has some of the shortest wait times in the country. The emergency department has all private rooms, two resuscitation rooms, and is staffed with board-certified, pediatric emergency medicine physicians, pediatric nurse practitioners, and certified pediatric emergency registered nurses. Our care team has access to cutting-edge technology, intensive and medical-surgical units, and specialists to provide the best care and outcomes for our patients possible, all in a child-focused, emergency environment. . Accountable for professional practice including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other health team members.THIS IS AN MNA CONTRACT POSITION.Education Requirements:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.Current Minnesota RN licensure.Current BLS certification.One (1) year pediatric nursing experience in a hospital setting.Based upon the unit in which you are applying, additional certification(s) may be required. Department specific required qualifications need to be obtained within 6 months of employment.Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required or obtained during orientation.Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required or obtained during orientation.Physical DemandsPlease click here to view the Physical DemandsThe posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Annual salaries displayed are based on full-time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Annual salaries for part-time positions will be prorated based on the employee's scheduled weekly hours in relation to the full-time standard. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs.In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits.
