We efficiently serve growers' needs and strive to provide a more profitable, sustainable, and secure future for all stakeholders.  Help us raise the expectation of what an agriculture company can be and grow your career with Nutrien. What You'll DoWork as part of the Nutrien tax team to complete the US tax compliance including:Calculate and document schedule M adjustmentsCalculate and process estimated tax payments and extensionsCollect and analyze state apportionment informationCollect and provide legal with financial information for annual reportsProcess returns through OneSourceResearch tax questionsWork on tax planning opportunitiesReconcile financial and tax information on the books and recordsComplete tax basis balance sheets and rate reconciliationsSupport the review of tax returns, projects and processesCoordinate and help provide information on assigned federal and state income tax auditsAnalyze complex tax situations with resources available at various levels to ensure proper recording of the tax effect on transactionsWork closely with the broader Finance & Accounting teams in Loveland, Deerfield, Calgary and SaskatoonBuild and maintain successful relationships with all US external stakeholders including outside advisors, external auditors, governmental tax auditors, and tax associationsSupport in implementing process improvements using technology and data management toolsMay perform other duties as assigned or requestedWhat You'll BringA Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or Law from a recognized institution5+ years of experience practicing income tax in either a global organization or a larger Tax Consulting Firm supporting Global organizationsCPA designation or US Master of Tax Designation is considered an assetWorking knowledge of US Corporate and Partnership tax compliance and accounting for both Federal and StateExperience using any of the following computer systems: SAP, S/4 HANA, Oracle, PeopleSoft, OneSource Income Tax, BNA Fixed Assets and Longview, is considered an assetStrong business orientation/business acumen and keen analytical skillsExcellent critical thinking skills, strong attention to detail and processesFlexibility to adapt to changing environmentDesire to be a critical component of a successful team and to develop and grow professionallyAbility to explore and implement best practicesAbility to provide recommendations and advise decision makers on tax mattersAbility to communicate effectively at all levels in the organizationCommitment to sustaining our safe and positive work environment while having the ability to embrace working side by side with others in a diverse cultureCompensation & BenefitsThe salary range for this role, in Deerfield, IL, is between $82,900 - $130,130.While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.We provide an attractive benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage, and life insurance and well as disability coverage for positions working more than 30 hours per week.
