Mill Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mill Operator Trainee to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various milling and metal fabrication machines to produce high-quality components according to technical specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in machining, metal fabrication, and manufacturing operations within a dynamic environment. Duties Operate milling machines. Learn changeovers by installing tooling, adjusting parameters, and following blueprints and technical drawings to meet precise specifications. Conduct precision measurements using measuring instruments and quality inspection tools to ensure parts meet strict quality standards. Maintain safety protocols by adhering to safety standards in production, including proper machine operation and handling of hand tools and forming machines. Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of machinery to minimize downtime and optimize performance. Document production activities accurately through shift reports, inspection logs, and process documentation to support continuous improvement initiatives.Requirements Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools for quality control. Ability to perform shop math calculations essential for machining setups and measurements. Familiarity with safety standards in manufacturing environments and adherence to safety protocols at all times. Basic understanding of metal fabrication techniques and forming processes, sheet metal fabrication. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on precision machining and quality assurance. Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
