Technician

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find Electronic/Assembly Technicians for a manufacturing in South Austin. In this role, you’ll support the assembly and production of mechanical and electrical systems in a shop environment. This is an exciting opportunity for hands‑on technicians who enjoy working with tools, wiring, and detailed build processes. Responsibilities Performing mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies Completing electrical wiring, cable, and harness fabrication Connecting battery systems and performing interconnections Reading and following schematics, build documentation, and work instructions Using standard shop tools to complete production tasks Ensuring quality and accuracy in all assemblies Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment Supporting team production goals in a fast-paced setting Qualifications 3-6 years hands‑on experience with mechanical assembly and basic electrical wiring Experience with crimping, harness building, and shop tools Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a production team Comfortable working in a shop/production environment No electrician or engineering license required Benefits Salary: $50K–$60K based on experience Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm schedule Opportunity to gain experience in advanced mechanical and electrical production Stable weekday schedule with consistent hours + growth opportunities Benefits provided: vision, medical, dental, life insurance EOE #J-18808-Ljbffr
