TITLE: Kids MinisterREPORTS TO: Director of Family DiscipleshipDEPARTMENT: Family DiscipleshipSUMMARY: The Kids Minister oversees our Storyline Kids Ministry, leaders, & staff. The Kids Minister will be responsible for helping align Storyline Kids' ministry (birth- 5th grade) with the overall mission, vision, values, and strategies of the family discipleship team and the church.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Implement Storyline's vision of coming alongside families to disciple kids (birth-5th)Execute the scope and sequence for key discipleship outcomes within Storyline KidsChampion Family Discipleship Milestones within Storyline KidsCome alongside the Director of Family Discipleship to develop and implement a strategy to equip parents to become primary disciple makers at homeOversee Storyline KidsLead Storyline Kids staff teamManage the annual budget for Storyline KidsMaintain excellent and clear communication with parents and familiesEnsure leaders and families are loved and cared for by maintaining regular contact with themExecute events that provide discipleship and community outreach opportunities throughout the year (Ex. Leader Training, Kids Camp, etc.)Build ministry capacity through the recruitment and training of lay leaders and volunteers to ensure the effective implementation of ministry objectives, goals, and action plansRotate with the kids team to schedule on weekendsOversee Curriculum within Storyline KidsWork alongside the Director of Family Discipleship to create and implement curriculum in Storyline Kids, including but not limited to:40 Key EventsAlignment seriesKids CampOther discipleship toolsFirst Time Storyline Kids FamiliesManage First Time Guest Registration and first time guest follow-up, including profile editingServe on the Family Discipleship TeamAttend Storyline staff meetings and staff-related eventsAttend and give input to team meetings within family discipleshipEnsure we are in compliance with all abuse prevention policiesRELATIONSHIP WITH THE STORYLINE TEAM:I report to: Director of Family DiscipleshipI receive input from: Director of Family DiscipleshipI work with: Family Discipleship TeamI lead: Storyline parents of kids, Storyline kids, kids ministry volunteersQUALIFICATIONS:Member of Storyline ChurchA daily pursuit of Christian MaturityAgree with and live in alignment with Storyline Statement of Faith and valuesHigh capacity and flexibilityConfidence and initiative to anticipate needs within this ministry lane and execute accordinglyKnowledge of developmental and faith stages for preschoolers and children, and the ability to strategically choose and implement appropriate programming for those stages is essentialExperience in a church leading in the spiritual formation area of children, and/or Christian education is preferredDecisive and proven leader with the ability to encourage, empower, and coach other leaders and teams in the field of educationOrganized, strong delegator and follow-through, ability to cast and execute discipleship visionAbility to develop and organize effective ministry teams made up of staff and volunteer leadersAbility to create a positive and intentional leadership cultureProficiency in GSuite, Microsoft Office, and Planning CenterDisclosure:
