Job Summary:
A Physical Therapist Assistant assists in administering physical therapy to patients and residents in accordance with physician orders and plan of care under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist and Director of Clinical Services/Clinical Manager.

Responsibilities of a PTA at Holton Manor:
Assist the physical therapist in providing treatment to patients with various conditions and injuries
Implement therapeutic exercises and modalities under the direction of the physical therapist
Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions
Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities
Assist with patient transfers and mobility as needed
Maintain a clean and organized therapy area
PTA Position Qualifications at Holton Manor:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
A graduate of an approved education course for physical therapy assistants.
Licensed, if applicable, in the state in which they will be practicing.
Must not be excluded or sanctioned from state or federal program.
Demonstrate professional attitude and appearance.
Proficient administrative and communication within department and facility and company.
Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in the practice of their discipline.
Display working knowledge of multidisciplinary practice scopes in the Outpatient, ALF, ILF or LTC setting.
Thorough knowledge of all payer source documentation and payment requirements.
Ability to use analytical skills to develop outcome driven solutions.
Prior EMR/computer experience
Physical Demands of a PTA at Holton Manor:
Must be able to walk, sit, stand, stoop, squat, bend, lift, push, pull, balance, and perform overhead activity without restriction or limitation.
