Job DescriptionACT Training: February 24, 2026ACT: March 10, 2026LEAP Training: March 31, 2026LEAP: April 20-24, 2026Site: University of Louisiana MonroeSite Test Hours approx. 7:45-3/4pmTraining Hours approx. 5pm central approx. 1 hourESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Testing Proctor you will receive training and administer Louisiana State assessments to Southern University Laboratory School students at various testing sites in Louisiana.Attend/complete required online training sessions and/or Test Administrator meetingsRead the State and School Test Administration Manual and Test Administrator Directions for all tests you will administerTravel to test sites within assigned route Set up tables, chairs, and computer lab Maintain and confirm that all equipment is up to date and in working order Sign students into the test siteRead Test scripts and follow all Louisiana State Test Security policies and proceduresActivelymonitorstudents while they are completing assessments (use of personal electronic devices is prohibited during student testing)Provide andmaintaina safe and orderly testing environmentPrior to test date: Read/respond to various emails from Southern University Laboratory School within 24 hoursAttend/complete required online training sessions and/or Test Administrator meetings (typically takes less than 1 hour before actual testing takes place)Training will be liveReadthe General Manual and Test Administrator Directions for the subject you will administer. On test date: Classroom-based position requiring ability to activelymonitorstudents throughout the classroom while taking testsTake attendance for the classroom and report absences to site coordinatorRead instructions to students/answer questionsActivelymonitorstudents while they are taking the test Ensure test security according to guidelines provided during trainingMINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or equivalentMicrosoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Webproficiency.Ability to travel to testing site as neededAbility to clear required background checkCertificates and Licenses: Nonerequired.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
