Ag Technician
Job Summary
The Service Technician will perform the set-up, repair, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance for agricultural and diesel heavy equipment, truck, or powersports, while consistently achieving agreed-upon productivity and efficiency goals.
Essential functions

Perform with skill, expertise, and a high level of quality and efficiency the setup, repair, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance of customer equipment.
Communicate with Service Administration Team on the diagnosis and status of repairs, parts, and other concerns.
Accurately troubleshoot and repair equipment the first time.
Read, understand, and apply electrical and hydraulic schematics to repair work.
Remove, repair, and install components in varying configurations of equipment.
Complete service reports daily that are legible, have proper grammar and sentence structure, and appropriate job codes.
Transmit photos, timecards, service reports, and other information through email.
Maintain good customer records on jobs that have been assigned.
Work with the Parts Department, Product Support Representatives, and Sales Department to meet all the customers' needs.
Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance protocols, policies, and requirements.
Promote Wickham Tractor Company to customers.
Maintain tooling in good working order as per OSHA regulations.
Maintain service vehicle, shop tooling, and WTC assets.
Participate in required training and take personal initiative to stay up to date on relevant service knowledge, bulletins, and other changes regarding new and existing products.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory responsibilities
None.
Required Skills / Abilities:
Knowledge in Agriculture, Heavy Equipment, Construction, Truck, or Powersports Industries.
Excellent mechanical repair skills.
Intermediate skills with computer, tablet, and engine diagnostic equipment.
Ability to read service and repair manuals.
Basic skills with phone, reading & writing, reasoning, math, organization, and communication.
Ability to work independently and efficiently.
Education and experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Two years of related technician experience
Additional OEM training requirements assigned per Tech Tier Level
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching overhead, working on a computer, driving a vehicle, and working around moving machinery.
Grasping with both hands, pushing and pulling, hearing normal sounds, speaking, and seeing.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance regularly.
Additional eligibility requirements
Valid driver's license and insurability on the company insurance plan.
