Administrative Assistant
PublicWorks1, a division of iWorQ Systems, is seeking a dependable and proactive Administrative Assistant to support internal operations and mapping-related workflows. This role works on-site with a small, collaborative team and requires someone who takes ownership, follows through, and communicates clearly with both internal staff and external contacts. Our ideal candidate has experience in travel coordination, GIS mapping and is proficient in Microsoft Suite. This position is 100% on site, working Monday-Friday.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (on site)
Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage travel accommodations for staff
Prepare internal reports and documentation
Perform data entry, data processing, and data management tasks
Create, update, and maintain maps using GIS software
Request, receive, and manage GIS data (including shapefiles) from clients or external contacts
Communicate with clients as needed to obtain mapping data and clarify technical requirements
Review received map data for completeness and usability
Track mapping and data requests to ensure timely follow-up and completion
Support daily administrative and operational needs of a small internal team
Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting, tracking, and communication
Qualifications
Required: Hands-on experience with GIS and basic mapping functions
Comfortable working with shapefiles and spatial data provided by external sources
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong organizational and data management skills
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and internal teams
Proactive, self-directed work style with strong follow-through
High attention to detail and accuracy
