Hear more about MGT’s culture in the words of our employees.What You’ll DoThe Low Voltage Superintendent is responsible for overseeing field operations, ensuring efficient project execution, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction across all low voltage installations. This role combines hands-on field leadership with oversight of planning, materials, workforce coordination, and project performance.Key ResponsibilitiesField Operations & ExecutionLead and oversee daily low voltage installation activities across job sites Conduct site walks, inspections, and final project closeouts Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to field teams Ensure proper execution of installation standards and cabling practices Perform final walkthroughs and validate project completion quality Support TAC service requests including scheduling, advisory, and material preparation Project Oversight & PlanningReview PIKO submissions and participate in SIT meetings Oversee project plan development and execution strategy Monitor installation progress and ensure alignment with project milestones Track milestone profitability and identify risks or inefficiencies Review progress updates, field communications, and reporting accuracy Scheduling & CoordinationDevelop and manage daily and weekly schedules for field teams Coordinate labor resources and validate apprentice assignments/requests Manage TAC SR scheduling and field service coordination Ensure alignment between field execution and PMO/customer expectations Material & Asset ManagementOversee material ordering and track delivery timelines (ETA) Manage stock material usage and ensure proper application in the field Coordinate and verify material deliveries to job sites Maintain tool inventory, tracking, and accountability Oversee warehouse organization, restocking, and material staging Quality Control & DocumentationReview and validate data collection from field activities Ensure accuracy of maps, as-builts, and final project documentation Conduct cabling practice lead reviews to maintain installation standards Oversee change order identification, notification, and creation Customer & Stakeholder ManagementAct as primary escalation point for customer issues and drive resolution Provide regular customer updates and support PMO communications Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and issue management Communication & ReportingReview and manage internal communication tools (e.g., chatter/updates) Ensure timely and accurate reporting across all active projects Coordinate across teams to ensure transparency and accountability RequiredWHAT YOU’LL BRING:A high school diploma or GED.3+ years of experience in structured cabling and low-voltage systems Experience with Ethernet cabling, fiber optic installation/termination, and access control systems Knowledge of BICSI and ANSI/TIA standards (568/569/606/607) Proficiency with cable testing equipment (Fluke DSX or equivalent) Ability to read blueprints, one-lines, and technical diagrams Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills Valid driver’s license Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work from ladders/lifts PreferredBICSI or fiber optic certification OSHA 10/30 certification Experience in access control Key Skills & CompetenciesLeadership and team development Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure Strong organizational and multitasking ability Customer service and conflict resolution Attention to detail and quality assurance Effective communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders What We OfferOur world-class work environment encompasses flexible and remote work options, a commitment to equity, and nationally respected teams in management consulting and technology services.
