EMT - Emergency Medical Technician

Job Description We’re hiring Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) that will respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care, treatment and customer service to patients.All employees of Mass Transportation Services LLC are expected to act with integrity, support organizational goals, communicate in a clear and respectful manner, championing the needs of our patients & staff and drive continuous improvement.Responsibilities:Maintains thorough familiarity with treatment protocols, response requirements, and quality assurance procedures.Maintains awareness of any and all changes in company policies.Maintains an EMT-B level certification consistent with the state of operationComplies with all state and company requirements in the operation of a motor vehicle.Operates a company vehicle in accordance with company policies and safe practices.Ensures the unit remains in a state of readiness in terms of mechanical reliability, medical supplies, equipment, cleanliness, and appearance standards.Reports immediately to Operations any discrepancies in vehicle or equipment standards that could compromise the unit’s ability to complete a call.Completes all appropriate documentation as outlined in company policies.Reports all problems and unusual occurrences immediately to the Supervisor and/or Operations Manager.Maintains a professional appearance by adhering to hygiene and uniforms standards.Attends all mandatory in-service training.Other Duties as defined in the job description.Requirements Job RequirementsSatisfactory driving history / Clean driving record.EMT CertificationCurrent American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support CPR CertificationBackground check.Negative Drug Test requiredMust have a valid driver’s license.Must be at least 18 years of age or older.Must be able to lift a 200 pound patient with a partnerWORKING CONDITIONS:The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: physical mobility, prolonged sitting, repetitive hand and arm motions, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling and lifting up to 200 pounds. Able to drive long distances daily. Mental demands: Maintain emotional control, ability to effectively communicate.
